Just flew from Los Angeles to Spokane, Washington to shoot a commercial tomorrow. It’s my first time here and I’m so excited I’m staying at the beautiful Davenport Hotel. Mr. Davenport, had quite the reputation as the perfectionist. He insisted fresh flowers be brought into the hotel daily and money be washed and pressed before given as change. He sold the hotel in 1945, and it was never quite the same after that. Hope came back to the Davenport when local entrepreneurs Walt and Karen Worthy purchased the hotel and began its renovation. Wish my mom was here with me she would love it!
Now for the pressing question, what should I order for breakfast in the morning? Snoqualmie Falls Hot Oatmeal or Corned Beef Hash w/ poached eggs, sweet onions and dijon-horseradish cream sauce?

My Mom started selling Inspired by Amber jewelry in department stores in Tennessee as well as in her own store, she discovered a new passion, writing books! The jewelry was put on the back burner for a little while, and she wrote 16 books after that. We always knew we wanted to work together somehow and someway, so we relaunched the jewelry line 20+ yrs later… www.InspiredbyAmber.com
My Mom has been my biggest inspiration of all time. How could I not love fashion? I used to bring a sketchbook to school and make little jewel like things to sell. When I find a pic I’ll have to post. It was my first attempt at jewelry design. I knew at a very young age that I wanted to be a designer. She also had these amazing vintage sequined/beaded dresses hanging on the wall that I would just stare at. They used to belong to a soap opera actress, I think I wanted to be an actress too at that point, just so I could wear these gorgeous dresses!
